“Bray. If you’re interested, Saks off 5th Ave at Colorado Mills has Gitman Vintage popovers for $30.” A message from my older brother… Sold. Well, in a way…
When the Gitman shirts ended up fitting like over-sized parachutes, I found myself pawing through the sales rack at the outlet mall in Lakewood, CO. Upon first glance, I was very much taken with the Gant Rugger jean jackets. Then I had the same thought I have every time I find a jean jacket I remotely like: “Will I ever wear this? Nope.” I’m not a jean jacket guy. There are types, and I’m not one of them.
Tangent. Anyway…
I thumbed through the other racks of discounted items only to stumble across more Gant Rugger gear and, low and behold, some Save Khaki gear.
Having only spoke with the SK kids on Twitter and briefly via email, I never got my hands on any gear until just recently.
I had a lot to type, but what I will chop it into is this: This sweater is fucking comfortable, fits perfect, and although I paid 75% off the ticket price, knowing what I know now might have prompted me to pay full price. Just saying.
Plus, after this summer, the two sweetest words I have said in the past week or two have got to be: Sweater Weather.
Get one.

Gitman Vintage fitting like a parachute may mean it would fit my out of proportion chest, though their website size chart makes me thing it won’t. Hrm. Anyway, I need to get to your outlet mall that carries Gant Rugger and SKU. I’ve been on a Rugger madras kick lately, since we’re in perpetual summer. Not sure if I’ve mentioned it to you, but I’m digging the food/clothes mix; good stuff.
Thanks, Matt.
Check Saks Off 5th Ave outlets for these deals. Got so many good deals lately. It’s like Gilt without the wait… or Gilt.
