Presentation: 3/3/11 || Madras of Lands End Canvas, J Crew Whales, and the Natural Aristocrat.

David’s one of a few consistent submitters to the Presentation Project. I dug his look today. Read his blog, too. It’s good.

It’s starting to get quite warm here, meaning the lighter weight fabrics are coming out in full force. Also, I just noticed most of the outfit is USA made. The linen jacket is vintage Land’s End, the OCBD is Brooks Brothers, the tie is Rivetz of Boston, the chinos are LL Bean, the loafers are Foot Joy. – David / The Natural Aristocrat

W.G.P. Lands End Canvas Madras

A whale of a belt.

Huge thanks to Lands’ End Canvas who shot me their new madras shirt a few days back. It’s real. Get one. The fit’s perfect. And while I posted the whale belt a long while back, today marks the first day I actually wore it. I just never got around to grabbing the awl to punch a new hole. Finally did. Now, to casually bring it up in conversation…

“I needed something to break up my “republican uniform” today.  So, I paired my blue, blue, khaki with a green web belt I inherited from my father.  I’m just trying to generate enough visual interest to not blend into the woodwork.” – Drake

“We’ve been enjoying a week of really unseasonal sunshine here in Manchester, so I felt like making a statement with this cricket jacket. Here’s hoping it lasts!” Mark – twitter.com/mspbannister

Sabir.

“Today I’ve gone with some nice braces to hold up my pants. This is the 1st time I am wearing the Shipley & Halmos suit that won from AskMen.com a few months ago for a style contest. I own two pair of braces and my other pair are leather braided like a belt. I am very much looking forward to the end of this week, but, I am trying to stay fresh and not let my style drag.” – Bests, Sabir www.MensStylePro.com

“Gotta be a short one today. The sky is falling so to speak.
Today’s outfit was brought to you by the color blue. Many people will tell you how impossible it is to match two different paisleys…they are wrong. You simply need to know what you’re doing. Pattern matching is all about complimenting and not contrasting. Perhaps tomorrow I will contrast patterns just to break my own rule. Shirt: Ben Sherman Soho, Tie: Michael Kors.” – John

“The back deck at work. Cannot wait for it to warm up and have lunch out here.” – Brent

“billtornade blazer, scotch & soda shirt and vintage bowtie.” – Jeff http://themidwestyle.blogspot.com

Thanks for the shout out Will, much appreciated!

Everyone is looking super dapper today. Will and Drake, those are some of the coolest belts I’ve ever seen. Mark, I’m completely envious of that blazer, I’ve wanted one like that since high school, definitely an awesome look.

Thanks man, right back at you.

The blazer was a really lucky find at a PRL factory store last year: the lone 40R in a rack full of 44, 46, etc sizes. Snapped it up without a moment’s hesitation!
